How to Apply BLADESHARK Hockey Tape

BLADESHARK™ fits both left- and right-handed hockey blades, and is applied to both sides of the blade.
Identify which BLADESHARK™ applique goes on which side by matching its shape to the shape of the blade and follow the instructions below.
BLADESHARK™ is tough, waterproof, and durable. It can last 15-20 hours on the ice.

Step 1
Remove all tape, wax and dirt from blade. Clean using a mild, non-oily solvent, such as naptha or lacquer thinner. (Goo Gone has oils, see Step 3)

Step 2 (if necessary)
Lightly buff blade with a light abrasive to dull high gloss finish if necessary. Do not sand through finish layer. This will create a light dust.

Step 3
Wipe sanded surface again with a clean solvent-dampened cloth, and allow to dry. Rubbing alcohol or Windex work great!

Step 4
Separate backing liner from BLADESHARK and position over blade leaving approximately 1/4 inch margin around the bottom and tip of blade and press down evenly

Step 5
Repeat for opposite side, again leaving approximately 1/4 inch margin around the bottom and tip of blade.

Step 6
Press BLADESHARK evenly onto the blade, working from center toward ends and edges. Make sure BLADESHARK is smooth and free of any air pockets.

Step 7
This should be your finished look. BLADESHARK bonding to blade activates best in warm environments. Allow to set overnight indoors for best results. Sunshine, a warm car or a hairdryer also speed bonding time in a pinch.
